Que She, a drug marketed as an herbal weight loss supplement, contains dangerous ingredients that may cause serious cardiovascular problems.
On July 8, 2010 the FDA warned that people who have been consuming these diet pills should stop taking the product immediately and consult a health care professional. This announcement came after an FDA analysis revealed that the Que She contains:
Flefluramine: A stimulant drug withdrawn from the U.S. market in 1997 after studies demonstrated that it caused serious heart valve damage.
Propranolol: A prescription beta blocker drug that can pose a risk to people with bronchial asthma and certain heart conditions.
Sibutramine: A controlled substance and prescription weight loss drug, which in a recent study was shown to cause heart attacks and strokes.
Ephedrine: A stimulant drug that is legally marketed over the counter but that has been shown to pose a risk to people with certain cardiovascular conditions.
Furthermore, these active ingredients may cause serious problems when mixed with other medications.
