However, it was your empathy, compassion, and sincerity that meant the world to us. The very first time I spoke to you over the phone I could tell that you were not only working hard for our mother but you were genuinely motivated to do everything you could to make sure she received the compensation she deserved. The impending closure of this long journey, that started years ago, will give our mom some form of closure as well. Although no amount of money could ever replace my father, knowing that my mom sees the future through a much brighter and more comfortable lens makes us both very happy. She can now start living her life the best way she can; the only way my father would have wanted her to. We know that this is your job and this is what you get paid to do. However, we saw something different in you. Your words of encouragement and kindness got my mother through a lot of tough times. It was your words of hope coupled with her belief that my father was next to you helping you along the way, that kept her spirits high. My father was a man of few words, he was a man of action. He didn’t tell you he loved you, he showed you he loved you. Very few things impressed him. I would venture to say, that if he were here today, he would be impressed with you James. You not only told us it was going to be okay, you showed us that it’s going to be okay.
