Case: Lagueux v. Union Carbide Case No. 01 10781-27

 

In 2003, the Firm received a $1,800,000.00 verdict against Union Carbide from a Broward County jury. The plaintiff was a 50-year-old who suffered from asbestosis as a result of working with drywall. This was the first case in the nation in which a jury awarded damages against Union Carbide Corporation in connection with the asbestos it mined.
